Families in Southern Oregon are paying too much for basic necessities: food, gas, childcare, housing, and healthcare. We need to hold corporations and billionaires accountable by closing tax loopholes for the rich and reducing the tax burden on working people. Affordability comes with growing robust local economies. In Salem, I will: 

● Support small businesses and invest in working-class families 

● Lower the cost of housing by building more affordable homes and protecting renters 

● Expand access to affordable pre-school and daycare options for working parents 

As a nurse practitioner and nurse educator, I’m running for Senate because patients, neighbors, and their families deserve someone who will fight back against Trump’s attacks on healthcare in Southern Oregon. It should not be this hard for Southern Oregonians to access healthcare. No family should fear immigration enforcement when they are seeking medical care for their child. I’ll bring my professional experience to the legislature, where I’ll: 

● Fight for a universal healthcare system that provides quality, affordable care to every Oregonian 

● Preserve healthcare coverage and improve access for all Oregonians 

● Protect reproductive and gender-affirming healthcare 

● Increase coverage for mental healthcare, developmental pediatricians, and early pediatric intervention services 

As a graduate of Southern Oregon University, I know that economic opportunity for all starts with strong public schools, community colleges, and universities. I will fight to stabilize SOU and fully fund our public universities so they can meet our local workforce and educational needs: 

● Work with my colleagues in the state legislature to pass sustainable funding solutions that ensure teachers, faculty, and students have the support they need to thrive 

● Improve K-12 outcomes by strengthening early education and special education programs that support child development and school readiness 

● Support faculty and staff through robust resources, meaningful professional development, and fair, just, and supportive working conditions 

As a proud leader for immigrant justice, I helped pass Senate Bill 1570 (2026) to protect healthcare workers and our patients from ICE’s unlawful immigration enforcement in our hospitals. I’m committed to protecting the rights of all Oregonians to be who they are and love who they love without fear: 

● Protect immigrant communities from unlawful enforcement and ensure families can access essential services such as healthcare and education 

● Fight the Trump Administration’s attacks on our human rights 

● Defend the inherent human dignity of all

As an educator, I know that our climate is our future. We need to prioritize the long-term health of our forests, protect our farmland, and stand up to the Trump Administration's efforts to sell our public lands to large corporations: 

● Protect our water and public lands; invest in clean energy and climate-friendly jobs 

● Strengthen natural disaster preparedness and recovery, including stabilizing funding for wildfire mitigation efforts 

● Hold large polluters accountable to cover the increasing costs our communities face from climate change 

I’m a union member and frontline worker who will prioritize the training of workers in critical occupations, including healthcare, education, emergency response, and skilled trades. Every worker in our community deserves elected leaders who will: 

● Bring high-quality jobs to Southern Oregon 

● Stand in solidarity with workers and unions to secure fair pay, safe workplaces, and strong labor rights
